Terms & Conditions

This agreement, as dated in the First Schedule, is made between the customer (hereinafter referred to as “The Customer”) and 6 Day Doors, a part of the Chigwell Group (hereinafter referred to as “The Company”).

  1. Statutory Rights
    The terms and conditions of this agreement ensure the satisfactory completion of the contract(s) as detailed in the Order attached hereto. These terms and conditions do not affect the statutory or common law rights of The Customer.

     

  2. Parties
    This agreement between The Company and The Customer is binding upon both parties and applies only to contracts or Orders relating to the supply and installation of goods.

     

  3. Definitions
    A. ‘The Company’ refers to 6 Day Doors, responsible for receiving and fulfilling the Order.
    B. ‘The Premises’ means the property where the installation will occur.
    C. ‘The Customer’ is the individual(s) placing the Order with The Company.

     

  4.  Premises
    The surveyor’s inspection ascertains the feasibility of the installation. This inspection is not a general survey and is limited to areas relevant to the installation. The Company is not responsible for pre-existing defects or subsequent damage to the premises unless directly caused by the installation.


  5.  Delivery
    A. The delivery date begins from the Order date, unless financing is involved, in which case it starts from loan approval confirmation.
    B. If installation is not completed within the estimated period, The Customer may request completion within a reasonable time or cancel the uncompleted work without penalty.
    C. The Company will endeavor to commence and complete the works promptly unless hindered by factors beyond its control.


  6. Additional Works
    A. The Company does not move ancillary services unless specified in the Order.
    B. The Company aims for work to match existing finishes but cannot guarantee exact matches.
    C. The Company will repair damage caused directly by the installation but is not liable for superficial damage to surrounding areas.

  7. Payments
    A. Full payment is due upon completion to The Customer’s satisfaction.
    B. Company personnel are authorized to accept payment in cash, bankers draft, or loan documents.
    C. VAT is payable at the rate in force at the time of invoicing.

  8. Illustrations
    Illustrations in The Company’s materials are for guidance only and are not to scale.

  9. Survey
    A. The Agreement is conditional upon approval by The Company’s surveyor.
    B. The Company reserves the right to modify the work based on the surveyor’s recommendations.
    C. If the surveyor disapproves, or The Customer rejects modifications, the contract is terminated, and any deposit refunded.

  10. Guarantee
    The Company will replace any defective products under warranty, provided notice of the defect is given promptly.

  11. Insolvency Protection
    Upon installation completion, The Customer will have an insurance application made by The Company with the Quality Assured National Warranties.

  12. Variation of Contract
    A. Any changes to the contract should be made in writing.
    B. The estimated delivery period may change due to contract modifications.

  13. Complaints
    A. Complaints should be communicated in writing to The Company.
    B. The Company must be allowed reasonable access to address complaints.

  14. Customer Responsibility
    The Customer is responsible for obtaining necessary permissions, preparing the site, and giving access for installation.

  15. Condensation
    The Company’s products are designed to reduce heat loss and do not guarantee condensation prevention or elimination.

  16. Samples
    Samples demonstrate typical items and materials. The final product will be manufactured as deemed suitable by The Company.

  17. Installations
    Installations are carried out according to specifications laid down by the systems suppliers and in accordance with local authority requirements.

  18. Cancellation and Refund Policy
    A. Due to the bespoke nature of our products, orders are specifically tailored to individual customer requirements. Therefore, once an order is placed and production has commenced, we are unable to accept cancellations or offer refunds.
    B. It is important for The Customer to carefully review the order before confirmation, as changes or cancellations are not possible after production begins.
    C. In the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect or quality issue, The Company commits to addressing these concerns in line with our Guarantee and Warranty policies.
